Note!!!

On Thursday, September 2nd, the SCC Board voted to extend the pool
season due to member requests.

Until September 15th, the hours will remain 10am-8pm.

>From September 16th-30th, the pool will be open daily from 3-6pm.

The closing party will remain on September 12th.  Please join in with
a dish to share and your own beverages. Tableware will be provided.

The Swim and Croquet Club is one of the largest and most active groups in Fearrington Village and our facilities and offerings improve every year. Did you know that in addition to lap lanes, a section for leisure swimming and floating on “noodles” (seems to be a favorite activity among many members!), and a roped off shallow section for potty trained youngsters, we also have a “baby” pool of benefit to the families moving into the Village? Early morning aerobics classes (two different types) have been very popular since their inception and in 2009 swimming classes for the little ones were a big hit and will be continued this coming year. And certainly no one can miss the finely prepared and maintained croquet court that is the envy of many outside of Fearrington who count croquet among their favorite pastimes.

The upper lawn hosts many of our social events, as well as Sunday afternoon music during the summer months, private parties, horseshoes, and shuffleboard. The cabana serves as a place to play ping pong and the serving lines for traditional favorites such as the annual pancake breakfast and the Fourth of July celebration.

Both tried and true and brand new social events will be offered this season; keep your eye out for registration dates so that you don’t miss out on the fun.
